Spinal Motions and Happy Moves


Learn how to have a happy and healthy spine for life! This two-day workshop will highlight the eight spinal motions that you use throughout your day; flexion, extension, rotation to each side, side bending to each side, compression and decompression. You will learn how to move and transform movement in all these directions. The course will include exercises to access these motions, and maintain this new found freedom.

In addition, you will learn a new GYROKINESIS® format called Happy Moves, that will invigorate your mind with all this new information. The GYROKINESIS® method is a combination of yoga, swimming, dance and qigong that is done on a chair, floor and standing. The format is unique because it includes a bit of music composed by the creator of the method, Julie Horvath.

Please bring a notebook to take notes. It is recommended but not required that you have had some GYROKINESIS® experience for this class.
