Zenagami is a powerful fusion of the mindfulness drawing technique, Zentangle, combined with three-dimensional origami shapes. Explore Zentangle’s non-representational and unplanned form of artistic meditation as you experiment origami, the Japanese art of folding paper into representational shapes. You will learn origami symbols and create an easy two-fold elephant, an elegant bird, a beautiful monarch butterfly, a playful airplane, a practical masu box and lid to hold your Zentangle tiles, and finally a  traditional crane using some very special paper. You will learn about the histories of both origami and Zentangle, including important people in both fields such as Akira Yoshizawa (origami), and Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas (Zentangle). You'll go home with origami paper, Zentangle tools, instructions for folding origami and for Zentangle patterns, and new skills to continue your calming, creative zengami practice at home.
