ClassGraphic

In this painting workshop you will learn to see and abstract the human figure through observation of a live model. The workshop will address gesture, proportion, position, light, anatomy, and figure/ground as elements for building and abstracting the figure. We'll work from short and long poses to develop your skill and fluidity. You'll learn to use value, color, composition, and the language of abstraction to express the figure in painting.
Drawing materials will be provided. Students should bring paint, painting supports, and other painting supplies. See the online class listing for the required materials list.
