« back to classes page
ClassGraphic Did you know you could fill your garden with flowers from one small packet of easy-to-grow seeds? In this class, Jill will demystify the seed-starting process, and you will learn how to grow easy annuals and perennials from seed. Starting with reading a seed packet (and what to ignore in our warmer climate) you will learn the process for simple seed starting and also the key steps for growing these brilliant baby plants. You will have an opportunity to practice seeding your own seed trays, and also the process of pricking out and transferring mature seedlings. You will also have instruction on more advanced techniques if and when you feel ready to try them. In addition to the seed tray you start in class and seedlings you transfer, you will receive a handbook to guide you through the seasons and a journal for note-taking.
This is an all-levels workshop, and no prior experience is required.
