These gorgeous birds search for a safe place to nest and raise their young each autumn. Learn how to attract the charming Western bluebird into your yard as you build a beautiful and ecologically sustainable bird house. Anthony will share inspirational images for your design, and you will learn basic tool and woodworking skills.  With your beautiful birdhouse you can help these small but mighty birds that support biodiversity and provide natural pest control as they sing soft, quavering songs in flight. You will leave class with your birdhouse, approximately 11” x 11” x 9”, your newfound knowledge about Western bluebirds' role in our healthy ecosystems, and instructions for proper installation to assure it is predator proof.
Bring your lunch and a drink. Please wear closed toed shoes and long pants for work in the woodshop - safety first, safety last, safety always! This class will close for registration 2 days prior to class to allow time for your instructor to prepare materials and supplies for you!
