ClassGraphic Over the course of this three hour wander, you will weave through Henry Cowell's vast and diverse ecosystems, from redwood forest to sandy riverbeds, all laden with wild food and medicine. You will focus on plants relevant to the current season and lunar cycle. Your walk includes plant identification, discussions of medicinal properties and preparation of the plants along the trail, culinary applications, ethical harvesting, and traditional uses. You will enjoy tea from local plants selected by Alexandra, and take moments for quiet meditation, connecting deeply with the spirit and energy of the plants and places we encounter.
Wear comfortable clothes for walking on a trail and bring a snack and water bottle to keep yourself feeling good on the walk.

Park at the Rincon Trail parking lot and meet at the gate entrance to the trail. See the online class description for detailed directions. No dogs allowed on the trail, and no parking fee at the lot.
