Students first complete the eRider course, a highly interactive self-paced class in an online classroom and takes 4 to 6 hours to complete. After completing the eRider course students complete two "range" sessions on Cabrillo's campus. Students will learn, practice, and be tested on riding skills during the two range sessions. Details about eRider and the range sessions are available on the Cabrillo Extension webpage
California Motorcyclist Safety Program.
Registered students will receive an email from eRider no later than 5:00 pm on the start date of the class, which is the Wednesday prior to the first range session. That email will contain the student's username and password to login to eRider. Once students receive the username and password they may begin the eRider course immediately.
Before registering for a class please review the Cabrillo Extension webpage
California Motorcyclist Safety Program. for detailed information about required documentation, required protective gear, class schedule, testing, and the cancellation policy. If a student is refused admittance to any class or range because they do not have the required documents, signatures, protective gear, or arrived late, they will be dropped from the class, and their fee will not be refunded.
Before registering for a class students should be certain that they can complete the eRider course and both range sessions to avoid being dropped from the class. Students who do not arrive on time for the range sessions will be dropped from the class and there will be no refund available. In that case students need to register and pay for a new class if they wish to continue.
Refunds are available only for cancellations made one week prior to the class start date. Students who are unable to attend and wish to request a refund must notify Cabrillo Extension no later than 5pm one week prior to the class start date.
There is a $25 processing fee for all cancellations.
