Learn how to identify the stars and constellations in our local skies in this fun, hands-on workshop. Using the Cabrillo planetarium and observatory you will discover the wonders of the universe and learn about astronomy history, methods, equipment, and recent discoveries. Karl will discuss the objects and motions we see in our night sky and you will get a sense of the cosmic, big picture.
Wear warm clothing for outdoor observing at Cabrillo’s observatory, weather permitting. In case of rain or fog, class will have an extended visit to Cabrillo’s planetarium.

Students ages 12 to 17 are welcome with an adult.
