Rooted in Resilience: Nature Support for Those Touched by Cancer

This workshop warmly welcomes anyone whose life has been touched by cancer — whether you are newly diagnosed, in active treatment, living beyond cancer, or supporting a loved one. Wherever you are in your journey, you are invited to reconnect with your body, heart, and spirit through the healing power of nature.
As you gently hike among the redwoods and the flowing river, you will explore how mindful movement, moments of stillness, and the natural world can serve as steady companions and to widen perspectives in navigating the path of healing.
Through meditative walking, grounding practices, guided reflection, and group sharing, you will have the opportunity to deepen your sense of vitality, belonging, and inner peace. Together the class will create a space to honor the body’s resilience, listen closely to its needs, and feel supported by the quiet strength and wild beauty of the land. No hiking experience is required, only a willingness to be present, breathe deeply, and take a step forward to connecting to the now. 
16 and 17 year old students may participate when registered with a parent or other adult. 
This class is for beginning-level hikers. The two-mile hike will be on a mix of flat and hilly terrain.
