Minecraft Creators - Make Your First Mod! (9-12)

Attention Minecraft enthusiasts! Bring your Minecraft worlds to life by creating custom tools, blocks, mobs, and more! Use beginner friendly programs to expand what your armor and tools can do in creative new ways and design your own textures to make them stand out. Create recipes for crafting the things you’ve always hoped were in Minecraft. Expand your worlds with custom structures, biomes, and new dimensions. Build logic and problem solving skills, explore the basics of computer programming, and unlock the limitless potential of your mod. Playtest other campers’ mods, work in groups to provide friendly and constructive feedback on playability, setting, difficulty, and theme, and creatively problem solve to implement feedback. You’ll also enjoy ice breakers and fun activities in an environment where everyone belongs. By the end of camp you’ll have your own unique mods to bring home, show off, and share with your friends!
Bring your lunch, plenty of snacks, a drink, and wear comfortable clothes and shoes for our breaks and activities outside of the computer lab.
