Road Trips, RVs & Van Life: Plan & Travel with Confidence - Where to Go & How to Make It Work

« back to classes page
Once you have a rig, or are close to getting one, the next question is: how do I actually use it? This class focuses on how to travel smoothly and confidently once you’re on the road. Learn how to plan well without overplanning, stay connected, and create travel rhythms that actually work in real life. Join Kay as they walk through practical strategies for planning trips, choosing where to stay, and adapting on the road. This class emphasizes preparation without rigidity, reducing travel stress, and making informed decisions so you can enjoy the journey rather than constantly reacting to it.
This class includes real-world examples, visual walkthroughs, and downloadable checklists you can reference while planning or traveling. You will receive a digital resource booklet with lists of tools, apps, and checklists, along with a fillable worksheet for trip planning.
You’ll leave with a clear, flexible approach to traveling that helps you feel prepared, adaptable, and confident, whether you’re heading out for a weekend or settling into life on the road.
This class will cover:
How to plan road trips that match your time, energy, and travel style
Choosing where to stay: campgrounds, RV parks, public lands, and alternatives
How to find reliable overnight stops and avoid problem or unsafe locations
Staying connected on the road: internet, cell service, and realistic backup options
What to bring (and what not to) for safety, emergencies, and breakdowns
How to work remotely or manage responsibilities while traveling
Creating sustainable travel rhythms for short trips or extended time on the road
Common travel and planning mistakes, and how to avoid them
