Join Nathan in his professional art glass studio for this hands-on workshop! Learn to use a flame to manipulate and shape brilliantly colored rods and tubes of glass to create small but mighty little art glass sculptures that fit in the palm of your hand! In the process you will learn the magic and science of this ancient art form. At your individual flamework station you will learn the fundamentals of working with glass, gain some basic skills, explore flamework techniques, and get some practice using flameworking tools. You’ll learn cool flamework terms like molten, mandrel, casting, marvering, pulling a stringer, and annealing.

You'll create dainty, sparkling icicles and sweet, colorful candy canes that are 2" to 4” inches in size. You will have time in class to create up to five unique small glass sculptures, and additional materials will be available for purchase in class to make more if you have time.
Please wear comfortable clothes, close toed, comfortable shoes, and dress warm because the room is kept very well ventilated!

No experience necessary. Class size is limited so register early!

Remember to bring your $50 materials fee with you to class!
