Glass Blowing Retreat: 3 Day Intensive

ClassGraphic Join Chris and his team for a three-day glass blowing retreat at Chris Johnson Glass in the historic Lundberg Studio in Davenport. Explore the history and science of this ancient craft, as well as hands-on studio sessions. Learn the fundamentals of working in a hot shop, the tools and traditions, how to select and apply colors, stretch and shape molten glass, and discover just what glass can do! You will work one-on-one with Chris, and have time to complete 6 to 10 finished pieces.
 

Explore Davenport’s spectacular bluffs, beaches, miles of hiking trails, farm stands, wineries, and surf spots in the morning before class, or just in time for dinner after class!

No prior experience is required. Class size is limited to 8 so register early!

Students should wear all-natural fibers and close-toed shoes. Safety glasses will be provided, but you may bring your own if you have them.
