Who doesn’t love Pierogi? These Polish dumplings, made with soft, elastic dough and filled with sweet or savory fillings, are classic heartwarming comfort food! You will learn to prepare the dough, and how to roll and shape the pierogi, so you can make them any time at home and fill them with anything you like. You will make two delicious fillings in class, one of which will be wild, seasonal mushrooms and broccoli. You’ll also learn to prepare a refreshing, crispy, wood ear mushroom salad with cucumber and carrots, with a mildly sweet, soy vinaigrette. This delicious, non-traditional side dish will balance the richness of the pierogi. You will take home two portions of pierogi and salad, and your newfound pierogi making powers!
Students must wear closed toed shoes and long pants, and may bring their favorite apron.
