« back to classes page
Your knife is the most useful tool in your kitchen! Knife cutting is a lifelong skill, and cutting correctly will add ease to your prep, save time, prevent accidents, and make the whole experience of cooking more enjoyable! Learn cutting skills and techniques, the importance of selecting and caring for your knife, and how to handle your knife with confidence and accuracy. Megan will demonstrate and guide you through the proper technique to chop, dice, and mince - all cuts that are utilized every day, and especially in professional commercial kitchens. There will be demonstrations and plenty of time for practice! As an added bonus, after class you will know what chiffonade, brunoise, julienne, and other knife cut names mean, and why they are used. You will go home with an array of cut vegetables prepared during class.
