Cancelled: Colorful Spring Gardens in Pastels or Mixed Media

ClassGraphic Bring your pastels or other favorite medium to capture the colors, textures, and structures of exceptional gardens filled with visual spring delights. You will visit several local gardens and Ann will provide tips on shading and use of color for structures and flowering plants, plus contrasting near and far vistas. Demos will include use of pastel sticks, wash, and colored paper. There will be plenty of time to practice after each demo and to enjoy your beautiful surroundings! Garden locations vary from woodland to cottage and formal. Enjoy water garden features such as bird baths, fountains, and reflecting ponds; sculptural elements such as garden ornaments and statues, pathways, slopes, gates, and hedges. Each garden has been chosen for its color, variety, and unique aesthetic characteristics. All sessions will include introductory demos, followed by individual critiques and final group sharing. Personal expression is encouraged and multiple levels of expertise are welcome. 
Please note that you will be walking on dirt and gravel paths so wear comfortable walking shoes!
The first class will meet at the top of the P parking structure at Cabrillo, behind the Wellness Education Center (Building HW1000), where Ann will provide detailed printed directions to each site. You will then drive to the first location.
