Join Suzanne for some crafting calm and unravel the benefits of crochet! This beginning crochet class for newcomers to the craft is also a great opportunity for those who may want a refresher. You will learn the first, basic steps including the chain stitch, single and double crochet, and how to change colors. There will be plenty of time to practice in class with support to work on the basic stitches which are the foundation of every crochet project. There will be ample time during class to get help with your stitches, and to find the way that works best for you to hold the yarn and the hook.
Your materials fee covers a crochet hook and a skein of wool yarn (non-wool available on request). You will also go home with resources to help you problem solve your crochet projects, a 10% discount card for a local yarn shop, and your newfound crochet powers! Class will be held at the beautiful Horticulture Center, high atop Cabrillo’s campus with sweeping views of the Monterey Bay.
