ClassGraphic Welcome bees, butterflies and more with this class on fall and winter garden care.  One of the best things we can do for pollinators is give them a habitat that supports their life cycle. As luck would have it, these tips are also the fastest way to increase soil health, which makes for stronger plants and lower water requirements. Learn how to plan your gardening year to optimize pollinator needs, and how to observe your own gardening spaces to make the most beneficial choices. Jill will also review how seasonal care can build soil health (which also supports pollinator populations) and the unique habits of native bees and butterflies that often go unnoticed.

You will receive a workbook that covers pollinator support and soil health to guide you through the seasons at home, and a journal for note-taking. At the end of class you may select from a range of native plant seeds collected by Jill to take home and spread to support pollinators.  As part of the class, Jill will demonstrate how to collect seeds from your own garden to increase biodiversity.

This is an all-levels workshop, and no prior experience is required.
