Embrace any gardening space with this workshop on the shade garden. Learn about different types of shade and seasonal differences, the unique soil needs for different shady sites, and what plants work best in these sometimes tricky spots. You will also learn how to work with some unexpected shade-lovers! There are any number of plants that will thrive in your garden, whether you have a north facing plot, or have space under oak trees or redwoods. In addition to instruction and site-specific questions, you will receive a guide including sun/shade terminology, seasonal plants for different sites, and a journal for note-taking.
This is an all-levels workshop, and no prior experience is required.
