Cancelled: Handmade Colored Ravioli - Spring

Stuffed raviolis are a perfect seasonal treat! Learn to create the handmade, colored pasta, then make individual filled raviolis. You will learn to prepare the pasta dough, learn about rolling, sheeting, and resting the dough, and how to use a hand crank pasta machine. You will learn how to add color to the pasta dough using all natural dye you have created in class, and how you can create a veritable rainbow of colors using fruits, vegetables, spices, and even some surprising ingredients to add color. You will make fresh, delicious fillings with seasonal, local ingredients, and add flavors with fragrant spices. During class you will have time to make one portion of colored, ready to cook ravioli, and go home with recipes to create more colored pasta at home.
Use seasonal spring ingredients, such as peas, beets, spinach, and edible flowers to create beautiful, naturally colored pasta doughs.
Students must wear closed-toed shoes and long pants, and may bring their favorite apron.
