With summer right around the corner, this is a great opportunity to learn to make your own impossibly delicious plant-based burgers. Stretch your burger imagination as you learn to prepare mouth-watering options like Black Bean & Oat Burgers, Portobello Mushroom Burgers, and Chickpea Burgers with Pickled Cucumber and Onion. You will receive a formula to combine your favorite ingredients, form them into patties, and troubleshoot the consistency of the mixture to create the perfect burger. These burgers are made from whole grains, plant-based proteins, a binder, seasoning, and your favorite veggies. You will prepare and cook three different burgers using delicious ingredients, and will go home with tasty recipes and the skills to wow your family and friends!
Students must wear closed toed shoes and long pants, and may bring their favorite apron.

Please wear long pants, closed-toed shoes, and bring your favorite apron if you’d like! Students may bring their favorite kitchen knife to class, or loaner knives will be available for anyone who doesn’t have or want to bring their own.

Parking is enforced 7 days a week on the Cabrillo Campus. Please carefully read the signage in areas where you park. Daily parking permits are $4.00 and can be purchased in any of the student parking lots from parking permit dispensers. Daily permits are only good for the date of purchase. Permit dispensers only accept credit and debit cards, no cash.
