Explore alternatives to tofu and discover a whole world of plant-based proteins to sustain you, help you build muscle mass, and curb unhealthy cravings. You’ll learn the Ayurvedic art of vegetarian food combining, the one-pot meal that all people eating a plant-based diet must know, and how to make your own plant-based milk and homemade nut and seed butter. You will also make recipes such as Quinoa Pancakes, High-Protein Pesto, and Black Bean Brownies. You will get to prepare a high-protein meal that rocks and will go home with tasty recipes and the skills to wow your family and friends!
Students must wear closed toed shoes and long pants, and may bring their favorite apron.

Please wear long pants, closed-toed shoes, and bring your favorite apron if you’d like! Students may bring their favorite kitchen knife to class, or loaner knives will be available for anyone who doesn’t have or want to bring their own.

Parking is enforced 7 days a week on the Cabrillo Campus. Please carefully read the signage in areas where you park. Daily parking permits are $4.00 and can be purchased in any of the student parking lots from parking permit dispensers. Daily permits are only good for the date of purchase. Permit dispensers only accept credit and debit cards, no cash.
