Spend a week with a professional illustrator and concept artist from the video game industry to learn the fundamental bedrock skills of technically advanced art. You will learn skills used every day by some of the most accomplished living illustrators as they paint video game concept art, collectible card illustrations, and fantasy book covers. These are often-overlooked techniques and include pen confidence exercises, core perspective rules, observational drawing habits, and gestural reflexes. Learn to use your sketchbook to observe the world around you to practice regularly and draw every day. These habits made the old masters of illustration so great! You will go home with your curated set of art supplies and a new set of observational and drawing skills which will take your artistic skills far beyond their current state..
This camp is designed for those with some art and mark making skills or experience, but beginners are welcome. Please see the online class description for a detailed list of the items included in your curated set of art supplies.
