Abstraction: A Drawing and Painting Workshop

Please read:  Review the list of required tools, equipment, and supplies. Be sure that you have these materials on hand at the first class meeting.


Sketchbook and/or notebook
Source material such as photos, text or poetry, still life forms, found objects, etc.
2-4 painting supports such as heavy paper, canvas, panel or alternative substrates
Acrylic, gouache, watercolor, or other water-based paint
Brushes
Palette (palette paper, enamel tray, or similar)
Rags
Apron or smock

Optional Materials
Drawing supplies such as charcoal, ink, and pastels
Preferred paper for drawing
Gloves

Parking is enforced 7 days a week on the Cabrillo Campus. Please carefully read the signage in areas where you park. Daily parking permits are $4.00 and can be purchased in any of the student parking lots from parking permit dispensers. Daily permits are only good for the date of purchase. Permit dispensers only accept credit and debit cards, no cash.
