Mosaic Address Plaque

Create a shimmering glass mosaic address plaque for your home (or someone else's) as you learn all about glass mosaics. You will be guided through the design process to create a unique address plaque for exterior display. Learn about the types of glass applicable to mosaic arts and how to use mosaic tools to cut and shape the colorful, luminescent glass into tesserae (the pieces that make a mosaic). Learn about glass mosaic design, double indirect method, direct method, grouting techniques, adhesives, substrates, terminology, and techniques for finishing mosaic projects. There will be many design templates to choose from in class.  
All tools and materials are provided in class. Please bring lunch for our mid-day break on Saturday. No previous mosaic experience necessary. However, the more mosaic experience you have the more detail you will be able to incorporate into your design. 
Register early, this class is limited to only 10 students, and registration will close two weeks prior to class!
No fewer than two weeks prior to the class date (earlier is better!) please see the special notice in your email confirmation and use the link to provide your instructor with the address numbers and/or letters you will be working with in class. She will use the actual numbers you provide to prepare a special template sized for your project. You will use the template for your mosaic design during class.
