Join Laura at Four Acorns Farm to learn how to make an advanced intermediate-level, rectangular, handled basket with an open weave base. This is a handy sized basket suitable for daily use or a trip to the farmers market. As you weave your basket you will learn about the art and craft of basketry, one of the oldest art forms and traditional tools. Laura will guide you through the process of building, shaping, and finishing your basket. She will discuss which tools to use, and how to work with reed. Resources and basket inspiration will also be shared. This class is suitable for students who have taken one of Laura’s intermediate basketry classes.
This class is suitable for students who have taken one of Laura’s other basketry classes or have basketry experience.
