Textured Floral Embroidery

Create a colorful garden of textured flowers with embroidery! You will learn how to transfer a pattern onto fabric and combine a variety of stitches into beautiful blooms. Katie will review a few basics for first-time embroiderers including the backstitch, lazy daisy, and French knot and then demonstrate some intermediate textural stitches including the woven wheel, bullion knot, and tassel stitch. You will leave with your new embroidery skills and a delightful embroidered garden to brighten your summer!
All of the supplies and materials will be provided in class. Your materials fee covers embroidery floss (thread) for your projects, one embroidery hoop, embroidery needles, and cotton fabric. Additional supplies will be available for purchase in class if you have time to make another project.
