Challah Braided Bread

ClassGraphic Join Chef Stephany to learn to make the light, fluffy, shiny and delicious braided bread. Challah is an enriched white yeasted bread that is traditionally served on the Jewish sabbath, which starts on Friday at sunset. Challah is also traditionally served on Jewish holidays like Rosh Hashanah and Hanukkah. Stephanie will show you the magic of braiding bread, and you will get a chart showing how to make several different styles of braids. The classic being the three strands but she will also show you the five and six strands. You will each go home with a whole loaf of this amazing bread to share with friends and family.
No experience necessary, all materials provided in class.
Students must wear closed toed shoes and long pants, and may bring their favorite apron.

Students must wear their hair tied back, or in a bandana during class.

Students may not use cell phones during class.

Students must wear closed toed shoes and long pants.

Parking is enforced 7 days a week on the Cabrillo Campus. Please carefully read the signage in areas where you park. Daily parking permits are $4.00 and can be purchased in any of the student parking lots from parking permit dispensers. Daily permits are only good for the date of purchase. Permit dispensers only accept credit and debit cards, no cash.
