Holiday Block Printing: Botanical Cards and Wrapping Paper

Learn the fundamentals of using botanical dyes for block printing. Relying on the shapes and colors of the season, you will review different techniques for printing with botanical dye using contemporary examples on paper and fabric. Select from a range of pre-cut blocks with seasonal botanical elements like leaves and vines to create individual prints on paper, and a page of wrapping paper for holiday gifts. You will take home seven, beautiful 4” x 6” botanical cards with envelopes, your page of wrapping paper, and a handout about how you can carve your own blocks, along with a journal for note-taking.  
This is an all-levels workshop and no prior experience is required.
