Basque cake, or Gâteau Basque, is a classic buttery French breakfast cake from the Basque region of France and Spain. The buttery pastry crust exterior is filled with creamy custard filling, and crowned with delicate almond slices make it elegant and sublime, and the textures are perfectly balanced. Absolutely delicious with an espresso or cup of tea.
No experience is necessary and all materials provided in class. Students work in two-person groups to complete recipes, so come prepared to make some new friends!
Students must wear closed-toed shoes and long pants, and may bring their favorite apron.
