An American classic, yet this isn't a pie at all! Learn a bit of the history and mystery of this cake-pie as you learn how to make the “high-ratio” hot milk sponge cake and prepare the lush, silky, vanilla pastry cream. You will layer the cake and custard, and drizzle rich, glossy chocolate ganache on top.
No experience necessary, all materials provided in class. Students work in two-person groups to complete recipes, so come prepared to make some new friends!
Students must wear closed-toed shoes and long pants, and may bring their favorite apron.
