Gamemakers 3D Adventures - Simple RPG’s (12-15)

Want to design your own game, create your own 3D platformer, or tell your own stories? Want to be the hero of your own adventure, or create challenges for your friends? Explore storytelling as you learn Atmosphir, a 3D video game and design platform. You’ll learn about controls, environments, and tools used to create moving platforms, gates, hazards, triggers, teleporters and other aspects of complex level building. Your instructor will demonstrate how to add large aesthetic changes like skyboxes, how to alter your game’s atmosphere with music, and add game-altering physics elements like gravity. You will playtest each other’s games, provide friendly feedback, and learn how to receive and implement feedback in your game. By the end of the week you will have a series of playable game levels to showcase your level building and game design skills. You’ll also enjoy ice breakers and fun activities in an environment where everyone belongs.
Bring your lunch, plenty of snacks, a drink, and wear comfortable clothes and shoes for our breaks and activities outside of the computer lab.
