Write and Draw Your Own Comics (ages 9-12)

Calling young artists and comic fans! Spend a fun-filled week learning all about basic comic creation and how you can tell fun and exciting stories using visual storytelling. Join in on lively group conversations, share your comic ideas with your fellow campers, spend time practicing with sketching exercises, and experiment with cool storyboarding ideas. Through hands-on practice you will learn to draw people, animals, monsters, or a character of your own design! You will also learn about page layout, composition, how to add depth to your drawings, and how to add words and text to each comic frame. 

During camp you will create your own short, penciled, inked, and lettered comic pages to keep. You will go home with your new art supplies, your sketchbook full of ideas and practice sketches, and newfound skills and enthusiasm for telling stories through comic art.

No experience necessary and all art skill levels are welcome.
