The workshop begins with mixed media drawing to explore visual vocabulary and subject matter. Students will experiment with various prompts, drawing mediums, and visual ideas. Painting will follow drawing with a deeper investigation of personal ideas, exploring color, paint application, and scale. Informal reviews of work-in-process will provide direction for moving forward. Students will leave the workshop with a series of related drawings and paintings.
Drawing paper and some drawing materials will be provided. Participants should expect to bring paint, painting supports, and other painting supplies. See the the special notice alongside this class listing.
