Focus your lens on the small details of life and be prepared to look at the world around you in a whole new way!  Enjoy a day outdoors at UCSC Arboretum where we will enjoy focusing our lenses on the details provided in the extensive gardens of rare plant collections. We will review the unique aspects of macro photography, lenses, lights and other tools, depth of field control and focus stacking as well as creative composition techniques.

Wear comfortable shoes for hiking, sunscreen, water, a sun hat is advisable. You don’t need special cameras or lenses for this class, even cell phones will work great.

In alignment with public health guidelines, in-person classes will occur with modifications. Following the California Guidance for the use of Face Coverings, all participants are required to bring and wear a mask at all times while at class. In addition, please follow all instructions and county guidelines regarding social distancing and other health and safety precautions.
