Renewing notaries need to bring the following:
- Proof of Completion (issued after the instruction portion of a class has concluded.) Proof of Completion documents are valid for two years for first time notaries.
- Proper, current ID, which may be one of the following: U.S. state-issued driver’s license or ID card; Canadian or Mexican driver’s license; U.S. passport or a passport issued by a foreign government; U.S. military ID card
- 2" x 2" color passport-size photograph. You may not use the photo that is in your passport! You need a separate photo that is the standard size for a passport. This will be used by the Secretary of State proctor as part of your application for the test.
- $40 check or money order made payable to the Secretary of State. This fee is for the exam, and is in addition to the class fee.

In alignment with public health guidelines, in-person classes may occur with modifications. Please review the In-Person COVID-19 Guidelines prior to attending class for the most up-to-date information on Extension's policies, procedures, and expectations.
Parking is enforced 7 days a week on the Cabrillo Campus. Please carefully read the signage in areas where you park. Daily parking permits are $4.00 and can be purchased in any of the student parking lots from parking permit dispensers. Daily permits are only good for the date of purchase. Permit dispensers only accept credit and debit cards, no cash.
