ClassGraphic Break out of your routine in this retreat-style workshop, giving yourself the gift of creative space and time as you explore and grow in wildly different directions. In the highly immersive sessions, learn techniques and materials used in creating a visual journal as you work with prompts and ideas that will be sure to inspire you! Allow your creativity to flow free as you blend writing, photography, collage, imagery, and color to create a beautiful art journal and visual diary. More than a how-to class, we focus on the creative process itself, and how to develop your unique artistic voice through mixed media exploration.

Keeping a visual creative journal helps you to live life more deeply. This is NOT a class in scrapbooking, crafts, or bookmaking. It is a tool to awaken your senses and help you experience the world through your artist's eyes. You will leave the workshop with the beginnings of an inspired art journal that incorporates the power of your own words and images.

This workshop provides a safe and non-judgmental environment for participants of all levels of artistic experience. No writing, collage, drawing, painting or photography experience necessary, and you may use your cell phone or camera for photographs.

Most of your materials and supplies are provided in class, including resources for collage and your art journal. You will take home your mixed media art journal full of your creative work with plenty of room to continue your journaling practice at home.
