« back to classes page
ClassGraphic Learn how to use plastic fencing material as a wonderfully versatile foundation for your mixed media textural weaving. You’ll learn to knot, wrap, tie, sew, stuff, coil, and twist your materials to build your stunning piece to hang on the wall. The flexible plastic fencing offers many options for creating fabulous effects, both with the bottom fringe and with the whole body of the piece, allowing for interesting and dynamic outcomes. This is a great project for incorporating all kinds of pieces and parts you may already have on hand, such as fabric scraps, jewelry parts, shells, beads, buttons, unfinished project parts, yarn, and other embellishments. The size of your finished piece will be roughly 24" x 16" plus any additional parts added. No weaving experience is necessary, and all levels are most welcome.

Materials fee covers plastic fencing material, stuffing, and a wonderful choice of fabrics, yarns, strings, and other ornaments for use in class.

For additional class information about what students need to purchase, including a list of required tools, equipment, supplies, please  see the Class Details.
