Have you dreamed of hitting the road but don’t know where to start? This class will walk you through all of the basics you need to hit the road with confidence. Join Kimberley as she guides you through the nuances of preparing, traveling and working in your rig. Learn about types of camping options, services, connectivity, and emergency kits. You’ll learn how to successfully plan for different kinds of trips, and how to have a successful adventure whether heading out for a long weekend, hitting the road full time! This class will cover:

  • Planning a trip: Campgrounds with hook-ups, state and national forests, boondocking
  • Tools for Hiking
  • Staying connected while on the road
  • Power management
  • Emergency kits preparation
  • Boondocking
  • Emergency tools
  • Cooking outside
  • Services while on the road
  • Working from the road

At the end of class you will have a completed worksheet to take home with planning information, and Kimberley will give you a tour of her Class C motorhome and review how it's prepared and set up.

Daily parking permits are $4.00 and can be purchased in any of the student parking lots from parking permit dispensers. Daily permits are only good for the date of purchase. Permit dispensers only accept credit and debit cards, no cash.
