Are you interested in adopting a plant-based diet to lose weight and/or improve your health? Or maybe you want to avoid animal foods to lower your carbon footprint and/or because of your concerns for farm animals? Join this 5-week Food for Life program designed to inspire, educate, and help you embrace the power of a healthy plant-based diet.
Nurse practitioner, Susan Lavelle, will offer practical tips to help you transition to a more plant-based way of eating. You’ll receive updated nutrition information and learn about key nutrients and their impact on your health. In addition, you’ll see cooking demonstrations of delicious plant-based recipes in every class. Come on and “test drive” this way of eating in a fun supportive environment! Although the Kickstart curriculum has a focus on weight loss, this class is also appropriate for those wanting to maintain a healthy weight, or simply embrace an overall healthful diet. Please join us and see how eating more plants can help you look better, feel better, and be more energetic than ever!

This is a PCRM Food for Life class series. The Food for Life program is a community-based, nutrition education program developed by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), a national nonprofit organization that promotes preventive medicine, particularly good nutrition, and supports higher standards in research.
