Fruit Tree Pruning for Home Gardeners

ClassGraphic Are you the proud owner of one (or many!!) fruit trees? Gain the confidence and knowledge of basic pruning techniques for each stage in your fruit tree’s life. Learn about the initial training of a young sapling, annual pruning of a fruit bearing tree, and how to renovate an old, neglected tree. You will learn how to promote better fruit production, tree growth, tree health, and about different seasonal approaches for pruning. This workshop will be in two parts. Peter will cover basic pruning techniques in the classroom then demonstrate some of those techniques at a nearby off-site location. Details for the off-site location will be provided in class.
