ClassGraphic

Explore and celebrate our natural world as you design and create an illustrated nature kaleidoscope that depicts plants, flowers, and animals connected within an ecosystem or habitat. You will deepen your appreciation and awareness, and find creative inspiration as you learn about the breathtaking beauty of the natural world. You will also learn about food webs, inter-species relationships, and other ecological relationships. Learn techniques to work with India ink and watercolor, and learn about composition considerations. Take time to contemplate and appreciate the beautiful and unique aspects of our ecosystems as you create the story of life held within the circular design of your kaleidoscope.

You will create two technique practice sheets in class full of your swatches, one in ink and one in watercolor, and will have time to complete at least one illustrated kaleidoscope nature illustration during class.

Your materials fee covers some supplies, and you are also required to bring some supplies to class. Please see the online class listing for important details about the supplies provided in class and those you will need to bring to class.
