ClassGraphic The Cabrillo College Football program invites you to take part in a football skills camp this summer! Join Cabrillo College football coaches for a fun-filled week learning the game of football. This camp will include basic football fundamentals for any experience level, from beginner to all-stars! This is a NON-Contact football camp designed to help participants learn the game of football, develop and improve football specific skills, while having some good competitive fun. Camp will include a fun and safe flag football competition and will be a fun and exciting time for all. 

Football camp will be held in the Carl Conelly Stadium on our beautiful field turf!

Areas of Instruction:
  • Quarterbacks — Stance, exchange, drops, set-up, sprint out, play action, screens, ball handling, option, reading defenses, and field leadership
  • Wide Receivers — Stance, start, release, route running, cuts, receiving, blocking, and reading defenses
  • Running Backs — Stance, start, football handling, football security, pass protection, run blocking, route running, play action, screens, and reading defenses
  • Offensive Linemen— Stance, snap accuracy, reading defenses, run blocking and pass blocking
  • Defensive Backs — Stance, reading offenses, anticipating the QB, backpedaling, executing single and zone coverage, and disrupting pass routes,
  • Defensive Linemen — Stance, reading offenses, and rushing the QB
  • Linebackers — Stance, reading offenses, rushing, and blitzing
Please bring: cleats, mouth guard, shorts or sweats, and an athletic/football shirt.

Please read:  Before bringing your child to camp, please read through this list. Following these steps will help us assure that your child is safe, healthy, and has tons of fun at camp!

  • Need help finding your child’s classroom? Campus maps are available here.
      • Please bring cleats, mouth guard, shorts or sweats, and an athletic/football shirt.
      • Always send your child with a snack and a drink. Food = mood, and we want campers to be at their best! No food is available on campus.
      • Please be sure you have notified us of any behavioral or medical conditions we need to be aware of to help your child have a successful week at camp.
      • Campers need to be signed out every day by the individuals who have been approved by parent or legal guardian to pick them up, and are required to show a photo ID every day.
      • In order to protect the privacy and security of all minors on our campus, photographs by parents and family members in class are not permitted. Instructors and Extension staff often take photos and may share them with campers’ families via email once camp has concluded. Campers’ name tags will be removed for these photographs to respect and protect privacy. Please contact the Extension office directly if you do not want your child to be included in any photographs taken by our staff.
      • Cell phones or hand held games may not be used during camps.
      • Campers are not permitted to use the vending machines during camps.
