ClassGraphic Create complex flavor and texture combinations as you learn to make tasty, easy to prepare “vegetarian bowls” packed full of veggies, grains, protein, and a delicious sauce. Whether you’re going vegetarian full-time or just trying to eat less meat (hello, Meatless Mondays!) you can put together a hearty “vegetarian bowl” quickly. All you need are a few basic ingredients to easily plan ahead and make these satisfying, flavor-packed bowls a staple in your life!
You will prepare a seasonal Mediterranean bowl that includes crisp, organic vegetables, rich, hearty grains, and crunchy protein drizzled with a creamy yogurt sauce - yum! You will also compare and contrast canned and freshly prepared beans (you’ll be amazed at the difference!) while learning the basics of pressure cooking. Go home with your fresh vegetarian bowl just in time for dinner, or stay and enjoy it with your classmates.

Please wear closed-toed shoes and long pants, and you may bring your favorite apron.

Parking is enforced 7 days a week on the Cabrillo Campus. Please carefully read the signage in areas where you park. Daily parking permits are $4.00 and can be purchased in any of the student parking lots from parking permit dispensers. Daily permits are only good for the date of purchase. Permit dispensers only accept credit and debit cards, no cash.
