« back to classes page

Unlock the potential of art as a tool for healing, and let the synergy of flowers, mandalas, and the brilliant blue hues of cyanotype guide you on a creative journey. Whether you're seeking a means of self-care, artistic exploration, or a deeper connection with nature, this workshop offers a harmonious blend of art and healing that will leave you inspired and rejuvenated. Your healing floral mandalas will blossom as you draw inspiration from the intricate detail and symmetry of flowers. In the calming, safe space, Kaitlin will share examples of mandalas and you will immerse yourself in a meditative process and discover how the act of creation can be a form of self-care. Learn about the therapeutic benefits of mandala-making, such as stress reduction, mindfulness, and self-expression. Through the magical process of cyanotype sun printing you will watch your mandalas come to life in the sunlight, harnessing the natural energy of the sun.
You will have the time and materials to create three 8.5” x 11” flower mandalas that carry the intention of healing and balance. Your creations can be displayed, gifted, used in personal healing rituals, incorporated into textile projects, or cherished as standalone works of art. You will go home with the knowledge and expertise to use cyanotype to create more healing mandalas.

Your materials fee includes all of the necessary materials, but you may also bring your own fresh, dried, or pressed floral material to work with, or explore the botanical materials provided in class.
