Winter Floral Tablescapes

ClassGraphic Just in time for the winter holiday season, learn to create a seasonal arrangement using fresh greens, bulbs, berries, pine cones, and flowers (both dried and fresh). You will make a colorful, fragrant centerpiece that can be used to decorate a mantle or table as you learn the fundamentals and mechanics of floral arranging. Learn a variety of ways to decorate with greens and other festive materials will be explored to add some hygge (hoo-gah) to your life - a Danish term that loosely translated means to create a warm atmosphere, a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality - and who doesn't want that in the middle of winter! You will go home with your floral arrangement in a rectangular wooden vessel filled with beautiful greens and flowers and the skills and techniques to create more throughout the winter!
Your materials fee covers all supplies, including your fresh greens and flowers. Scissors will be provided, although you may prefer your own clippers. Please bring an apron if you would like, and wear comfy clothes!

Notice

Please read:  Dress warmly and wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

Bring your own gloves or apron if you like using them.

Flower scissors will be available, but if you have clippers that you like, you may bring those.

Bring something to secure your arrangement for the drive home. Your rectangular vessel will be 16-18 inches long so bring newspaper or towels tuck around it.

Parking is enforced 7 days a week on the Cabrillo Campus. Please carefully read the signage in areas where you park. Daily parking permits are $4.00 and can be purchased in any of the student parking lots from parking permit dispensers. Daily permits are only good for the date of purchase. Permit dispensers only accept credit and debit cards, no cash.
