« back to classes page
Give expression to your life story in all its beauty and complexity! SoulCollage® is a flexible and profound expressive arts method through which you make your own unique cards for personal reading. Anyone who has a love of images and is looking for an intuitive process for change and growth will find this process meaningful. Your cards give voice to all of who you are and even offer expression to the qualities you want to bring into your life!

In its 13th year offered at Cabrillo Extension, SoulCollage® originated right here in Santa Cruz County by local author Seena Frost and is now in 39 countries around the world! Come experience for yourself what has inspired thousands: a method deeply personal, incredibly fun, and perfect for the quiet individualist as well as the one who loves community. As simple as the ingredients of cut images, a pair of scissors, and some glue, this process is considered by many to be transformational and vitally expressive, even with zero art experience!

This is a course for beginners as well as those already familiar with SoulCollage® who will enjoy having time to review concepts and create several new cards in a relaxing and lovely environment. Participants will be able to immediately apply what they learn during this creative day together. Anyone can make SoulCollage® cards!

Please read:  Wondering what to bring for the SoulCollage® class? Here's your answer! Please bring cash or a check for $20 dollars for class material fees. You may leave the name space blank until the day of the class. Checks will be made out to the instructor and we will let you know to whom you will make out your check upon arrival. Please bring a brown bag lunch, as there is no food service on campus on weekends. You may bring a journal, notebook, or writing pad for taking notes. The weather may be unpredictable and the room temperature is sometimes hard to regulate, so we recommend you dress in layers. We will have many magazines on hand, but if you choose to, you can also bring in magazines for yourself or to share. Good sources of images include nature magazines, and specifically magazines such as National Geographic or Smithsonian. Some local libraries (and Craig's list on occasion) can be good sources of free magazines. If you have taken a SoulCollage® class before or are attending an ‘advanced’ class, please bring your deck of SoulCollage® cards. All are welcome to attend this class whether you have any experience with the process of SoulCollage® or not. Beginners are welcome and experienced students will have the opportunity to deepen their work. If you are already familiar with the method you know you are in for a treat. If you are new to it you may like to visit the website for more details. We look forward to seeing you in class!
