The goal of this workshop is to get you as crazy excited about gardening with succulents as we are, and to see the entire world as one big planter waiting to happen! We begin the day at Cabrillo for a presentation and discussion about succulent selection, care and the many planting and design possibilities. Then students will have time to either grab lunch, or bring along the one they packed, take the short drive south to the beautiful three acres at Succulents Gardens Nursery in Castroville, where we’ll have a half hour to enjoy lunch on the grounds. There we’ll find 400 varieties of quality succulent plants, both popular and rare. We’’ spend the afternoon creating, planting and enjoying the hands on portion of making your “Living Picture”.
Each student will leave class with a 6” by 6” “Living Picture”, as well as a list of resources and the knowledge needed to make more! Pack a lunch, please dress in clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty, and prepare to enjoy a day of education, and creativity!
