Night Photography - Winter in Capitola

ID : 8337
« back to classes page

We begin just before sunset on Capitola beach at 4:30, meeting on the lawn area near the Britannia Arms Restaurant, and get some sunset shots!. This is a rain or shine event, and we will hope for drizzle and/or fog because the halos around the streetlights and shiny streets make for dramatic photos!

Jeffery will share the best techniques for getting great night shots with long exposures, snap zoom effects, light painting, and selective depth of field. If you’ve ever wondered how to get great night shots, this workshop is for you!

Bring a tripod, a few baggies to protect your camera, and rainproof clothing. If it’s not wet outside, no problem. We’ll definitely end up with great shots, and have fun in the process!
