While we are all at home, our stories about this once in a lifetime experience are unfolding every day. Telling and sharing those stories is a great way to stay healthy and stay engaged. In this class, students will learn about simple storytelling and filmmaking tricks and techniques, and will learn the basics of using digital media tools to make your own short movie.
Whether your shelter in place experience was to start a garden, go through family photos, check on elderly neighbors, learn how to can fruit jam, homeschool your kids, or some combination of all of these, this class helps you tell and share your story. These stories can be shared on Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media platform, or even emailed to family and friends. Sharing your stories will help create & maintain your human connections, and have fun too!
Wendy will provide creative and technical guidance in personal storytelling that will result in a unique video. Students will learn about story development, basic lighting, sound, & video editing. Be prepared to express your creativity and have fun!
